A Mountain View man has died following a paraglider accident at Tom Steed Reservoir in Kiowa County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 6:55 Thursday night on the south end of the reservoir, about two and a half miles north of Mountain Park.

Troopers say 50-year-old Jason Ray Laird was flying over Tom Steed Reservoir in a paraglider when the engine failed, causing him to fall into the water.
