The Cardinals help the expansion Seattle Seahawks play their first regular season National Football League game here in the first regular season NFL game in the $67 million Dome Stadium that seats 65,000.

The Cardinals, with two division titles in a row behind them, hoped to make it three in a row and had a 4-2 preseason record and appeared to be an improved football team this year, particularly on defense.

The weather in Seattle is fine, but it doesn't matter because we're in a dome stadium and a very impressive sight it is as we get set to watch the Seattle Seahawks play their first regular season game ever in the National Football League, and it's against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Before we bring you more pregame color and the lineups, let's take time out for just a minute.

Back at the Kingdome in Seattle, Washington, a crowd of around 60,000 expected here today.

They can handle a crowd of 65,000.
