Kingdom Death: Monster

Got into board gaming because, believe it or not, Root was one of the first games I bought after I really got into the hobby.

And he does a lot of Kingdom Death Monster recently.

He did some other things too.

But Kingdom Death Monster, when I think of Quackalope recently, and Root are like the two biggest things that I can think of.

And they... had kind of blown up a few years ago i don't know how many years ago it was um but i feel like they really toned down after this so i haven't seen them around in a while they basically uh were put on blast by a publisher forget which publisher it was because the guy who owns quackalope and i'm paraphrasing and really dumbing this down basically said If you don't pay me, then I'm putting out a negative review of your game.

But if you pay me, I'll put out a positive review of your game, which is not good.

Absolutely.

Gene said, Kingdom Death Monster, how many different ways can your survivors die? Absolutely.

That is full of memorable moments, for sure.

Yeah.

But as Tim was saying, there's other versions, Lord of the Rings, and there's other versions that are obviously better just because it's more refined.

I haven't actually read the rules for this game.

We have a home game that we have to get back to, uh, of Kingdom Death Monster at Mercer's with a bunch of people, and it's, like, so fun and also horrifying on every level.

And I, and I've played, I've played a couple, but I don't think, I think that, uh, y- w- one that stands out to me, um, was it Kingdom Death Monster, I think is what it, uh, was what it was?

Um, that game would not have been the same if it hadn't been for all of the amazing stuff that came with it.
