Thought to be an exile, but I'm just posted.

Blessed to be the best that cracked the West Coast open.

King Teela back, motherfucker, it's a wrap.

I still melt in

getting into an independent mind state, you know.

But in L.A. in particular, I remember Egyptian Lover, the L.A. Dream Team, L.A. Posse, you know, King T, a lot of Rodney O and Joe Cooley, Mad Circle, all these different groups that were coming out at that time.

And so when I watch this episode, I think of what L.A. felt like back then.

And I got that anxiety that I had.

You know what it was that he did in his past that led him to becoming a record executive.

And when you can see someone actually do it, it becomes inspiration.

You know, there's people in from the Bay that also had that kind of backing to get their careers off the ground.

And I think.

But I don't think that a lot of people come from these environments with this sort of critical thought.

Because my music is, I mean, there are things in my music that you'll find in Cypress Hill, that you'll find in King T, that you'll find in Ice-T, whether it's early Ice-T or Body Count, and that you'll find in, you know, a lot of things, you know?

Yeah, I'm trying not to, because I also hate that whole, I don't, Pretty sure, actually, too, like, when people start the fetishization of, like, wow, here's someone really eloquent that can, you know...

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

It's like, that's not a thing.

So what I'm saying is, if you tell me you're from XYZ and your name is XYZ, I'm going to believe you until proven otherwise.

So- Taking that same logic to music is like, oh, I'm so-and-so, I'm a producer.

I'm so-and-so, I'm an artist.

And it was a real, real West Coast party.

It was Battle Cat played King T, Merce, Dale Felony, Volume 10.

It was a nice little crowd on a weeknight.

Nice little pretty packed up in there.

I agree.

And it's so funny because I'm a big proponent of mail-in voting, but I almost never use it myself, right? Really? I'm a creature of habit.

I enjoy going to the poll and seeing the neighborhood folks that are working the polls and talking to them and just getting a sense of what they think the election's like.

But that's just me.

You know, and as well as our other hits.

But what's also special about Tomorrow Night is, you know, we also have Battle Cat, Merz, Jail Felony, King T, and Volume 10.

And then DJ Viciously is the house DJ.

And then Mona Lisa will be DJing the VIP after party.

That doesn't mean everything was accurate.

And I say that because I invite, you know.

and and in making this book you know it forced me to communicate with people that I hadn't communicated in a long time to ask for information you know it opened up some you know some relationships that were fractured in the past had to have those conversations over but I wanted to get as much as an accurate story as I could and then even after I wrote it you know I invite people in my life to say like, well, it didn't actually happen like that.

Really? So
