Kimi Werner

That's so cool.

I was looking at some of the other unique experiences that are really exclusive to you guys, and one that I thought sounded so cool was the experience with Kimi Werner.

Can you tell us about that?

Yeah.

So, um, a couple years ago we started this Only at Hualalai experiences, and, and these were experiences that sort of showcased the, the most unique and, and world-class talent that, that, uh, that's here on the island.

And, uh, Kimi Werner is a world champion free diver.

And if you think of the ocean here, and I think there's something always alluring about free diving.

It's the danger, it's the, the solitude, it's the, um, you know, the, the mystique of being underwater for these long periods of time.

But for all its especially nostalgic, banal glory, my childhood was also, especially to a kid with an overactive imagination and undiagnosed ADHD, really fucking boring.

These days, people would call it a symptom of neurodivergence, but back then, my teachers called it hyperactivity and a penchant for fantasy.

I just knew there had to be more to life than stealing candy bars and riding BMX bikes off the town dock.

Turns out I was right.
