Kimberly Kelly

Who is this bitch? Who's telling all these stories? My name is Kimberly Kelly.

I am from Lorena, Texas, which is 15 minutes south of Waco.

If you need anything, if you're going to town, you gotta go to Waco.

I was 22 years old, and I knew Billy Joe Shaver really well.

And he called me and he said, "Little girl, are you old enough to drink beer?" And I said, "Yes, sir." And I thought, "Where can I take Billy Joe that no one is gonna harass him?" So there's this little joint down in Lorena, Texas, where I'm from, called Papa Joe's.

The owner, everybody used to call her Aunt Goatie.

She has passed since then.

I took him to Papa Joe's and he fell in love with the place, and kept going to the place after I introduced him to it.

It is in...

We'll get into this, but it is in court record that I am the reason he knew that place existed because there was a friend of mine during the trial, he said, "Where are you? Are you at court today? Because they just said your name." They said, "How did you even know about this place?" And he said, "Well, my girl, my little girl, Kimberly Kelly." [upbeat country music]

Blue jean country queen.

Can you take a minute and tell us who you are and where you're coming to us from tonight?

I am Kimberly Kelly, and I am coming to you from my lovely closet in Nashville, Tennessee.

Love it.

My husband is giving the baby a bath, so this is the only place where I'm safe.

Where can we find your music? What do you have band camp? What are your social medias? Do you have a website? All of that stuff.

Yes.

The best place is to probably go to Kimberly Kelly music.com. And then there's links to all my other places from Kimberly Kelly music.com and I'm on all of them.

So if you come hang out with me, I'll hang out with you.
