Blair MalloyHOST
37:48
Yeah.
Jonny McFarlaneHOST
37:49
Um, and I think with Minsu Kim, for him to get numbers, he just has to find that effectiveness.
Blair MalloyHOST
37:55
Mm.
Jonny McFarlaneHOST
37:55
And that will hopefully come in time.
Ian MitchellHOST
4:42
Duran has a shot from distance that Pander deals with easily.
Ian MitchellHOST
4:44
There's a cross from Penrice, which Minsu Kim gets onto, and there's that block from Scales there earlier.
Ian MitchellHOST
4:51
I think that's the same one.
Ian MitchellHOST
4:52
Yeah, Scales, a great block, to be fair to him.
Ian MitchellHOST
7:57
I was calm again Makanya was man for man marking now San takes a booking early on you think right oh we've stayed all game for Donovan to get ran at you would think
TommyHOST
8:06
actually forgot to put that in the notes because that was maybe a big part as well and Gusama does brilliantly yeah we'll come
Ian MitchellHOST
8:10
on individual stuff at the end definitely but Rangers start the second half very well which is something I was very conscious of doing we've got a Minsu Kim shot Naderi's header from the corner Daniel driving forward a couple of half chances in there but just very dominant I didn't want to say it in gaming you're never gonna but Celtic
TommyHOST
8:26
didn't have any chances that whole game and yeah again the words did not come out my mouth until they got subbed off but I was like that hole is not any good is that his name? Hogg Hogg that's crap he's a he's a big lump
DexHOST
13:12
I want somebody physical, somebody that can deal with the pressure and the magnitude of these games.
DexHOST
13:17
And then my attacking three, Bunani, Kusama, and I'd have Minsu come in there.
DexHOST
13:25
And then my striker, of course, as I mentioned previously, Nadiri.
DexHOST
13:29
Would you agree with that? Have you got some
GaryHOST
13:31
Nah, I would have, Daniel's going to be the captain, I think Daniel's going to be, he showed previously away to Aberdeen that he does enjoy a tackle, and he works hard off the ball, I think his leadership qualities have been shown the last few games, he's getting more comfortable, more confident, you see he's running off the ball, he's pointing, he's shouting, I think he starts now with Raskin, I think Minsu in front of him, and then on the right it'll be Buonanni, Gasame left, Nadiri up front, with the same back row, you see there, And it's interesting, McKinnis also said in his press conference that you think in these games, you think you've got more time in the ball, but you don't.
GaryHOST
13:59
So it's important to play the ball quicker.
GaryHOST
14:02
Does that give you an inclination to how we're going to set up then? Do you think we're going to be direct and quick going back to forward rather than trying to keep possession?
GaryHOST
16:00
I don't think we're good enough and we're, can I use to that 4-4-2 yet I think you need that extra midfielder in there just to add a wee bit of control and go for there but what will they do actually we'll finish on predictions so with all that being said with the stats with the injuries with the line-up what's your prediction
AndrewHOST
35:26
I think it's how these new guys are going to react.
AndrewHOST
35:28
How's Minsu going to play? If Kelsey's involved, you're going to have to deal with the pull and the shoving that centre-halves are going to be.
AndrewHOST
35:39
Say what you want about scales.
AndrewHOST
35:40
I don't think he's a great technical... centre back, but he's well experienced and well versed in this fixture.
WilliamGUEST
38:12
It'll be a welcome to football kind of thing.
WilliamGUEST
38:14
Welcome to the old firm.
WilliamGUEST
38:17
Gisama again I think he's really a hit for him I know that might be people might dispute that but I think he has Andrew mentioned the 5-1 I think that's really what kind of accelerated that and I think also with Kim Soo coming in he's now got He's got another player who can play his position, maybe giving a wee kick up the backside.
WilliamGUEST
38:38
Curtis, young, homegrown lad, I was going to say wee there, taller than me probably, who knows the game and absolutely loves Rangers.
Derek McInnesSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
53:20
and sometimes that work rate and energy is so i think um it's so kind of appreciated by the fans and you can see that i thought the fans were brilliant today um he gets his goal he gets a bit of confidence for that and he probably could have added to the one goal he got but um a strong performance from him and we're going to need that squad to call upon him obviously bojan wasn't in the squad today on the bench But we've still got a guy who knows his way about the Scottish Premier League and can score goals as well.
Derek McInnesSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
53:48
So having Ryan, Kevin, Bojan, Minsu Kim who can play central, we've still got some decent options there.
Paul CooneyHOST
53:56
Barry, what are you thinking up front? Kelsey's come in, we haven't seen much obviously.
Paul CooneyHOST
53:59
In
Barry FergusonPANELIST
54:49
He's not been in great form.
Barry FergusonPANELIST
54:51
but listen that's why you carry four strikers there's always a possibility that people might lose a bit of form people might get injured the case with Shanklin so it's an opportunity now for Kelsey Nadiri and Miofsky to go and show that they can be the number nine for Rangers
Paul CooneyHOST
55:08
Eden what do you think of Rangers at the moment and Minsuk Kim as well who's had a good
Aidan McGeadyPANELIST
55:12
start yeah I think the results had to change.
Paul CooneyHOST
64:13
Right, so Ndiri on the bench.
Paul CooneyHOST
64:15
The only change then is that one, isn't it? Kim Minsu.
Paul CooneyHOST
64:17
So it's the same team as last night, apart from Ndiri on the bench.
Barry FergusonPANELIST
64:20
Yes.
Paul CooneyHOST
64:21
And Kim Minsu.
Paul CooneyHOST
64:23
Minsu, Kim.
Barry FergusonPANELIST
64:24
Minsu, Kim.
Barry FergusonPANELIST
64:25
Kim Minsu.
TommyHOST
19:14
They're a lot of grit and digging and stuff like that.
TommyHOST
19:18
And I think, comfortably, I would say a good... probably higher than 70 of these games are one in midfield for me so i i don't think we can go with the two and the the center there because i just think we'll get overrun um and i think they'll have a lot of the ball and they'll dictate what how the game's going to go if we do that so i think we do need to have the free end but yet again then you've got the issue if you've got minsu kim as one of them then he's more in the 10 how and then you've got you know like what we used to do with Asgard and it was like right sit on McGregor like but then you're kind of taking away the good part of Kim because he's more focused on oh where's McGregor where's McGregor rather than playing his own game so I don't know if he'll go with the three I'm pretty sure Raskin and Dan Neill will start I'm sure of that anyway even if it's a two or a three but I think the third I think we might see somebody like Cukwani back in for that.
TommyHOST
20:12
I don't think we'll see Dragijevic, like I said, but it would be very weird to see a guy not play for four or five games and then shoved in there.
TommyHOST
20:21
I think it'll either be Cukwani or Devlin.
TommyHOST
20:23
My fear is it will actually be Devlin Raskin and Dan Neill, which, again, won't fill me with much hope.
TommyHOST
20:30
But I think we will go with the three, and I think there'll be...
TommyHOST
20:34
For me, I don't know if Minsu Kim might actually be on the bench for this one.
TommyHOST
20:38
Let's say just to set up like for like in terms of how they're going to set up as well.
Andy HallidayPANELIST
19:22
I think it was much more than a 1-0 game based off the chance that Rangers created in the second half but in terms of the performance as a whole I think it's the most complete performance Rangers have had.
David FrielCORRESPONDENT
19:31
I'm just looking at the midfield as being a bit more, we spoke last week about the structure of it, but I don't know about you Andy, but I think Dan Neill's starting to settle in there, he's obviously got Nico Raskin beside him as well, but I think having the three in front, you know, it's been Minsu Kim, Gassama, Finlay Curtis doing well, and I wonder as well, that might offset the loss of Laurence Shacklin to a point, because Darren McKenzie's going back to play with one striker, with three behind him, is he going to stick with that, do you think, for the next couple of games?
Andy HallidayPANELIST
19:56
Yeah I think he has to personally I'd mentioned a few times when Rangers started the season in that traditional 4-4-2 I thought they looked really rigid within it and I think just the introduction of Minsu Kim I think they look a lot more dynamic at the top end of the pitch and I think that three as you mentioned Gassama, Minsu Kim and Finlay Curtis are causing loads of issues just through their movement when they're on the ball and I think they're doing a power of work off the ball as well it's got to be said so I think Jeddi Gassama is in a really good period at this moment in time and just to follow up on that I think the two centre-halves I think they're finally starting to see a settled partnership at the back for me I thought both Fernandes and and Makanya had a really good game I actually thought they played really well on Wednesday if it wasn't for that one error that Fernandes makes to nearly gift a goal to Falkirk so I think they're starting to see a bit of a
Gordon DuncanHOST
20:40
partnership developed there What do you want to discuss next? 01419511025 you tell us we'll speak to you after these

RossAUDIENCE
52:03
nah not for me I think he's had his chance he's not shown that he's done enough I don't think
Gordon DuncanHOST
52:10
we've not learned loads about Kevin Kelsey obviously profile wise could you do him and Nadiri Andy or is that again I don't know we've normally seen enough
Andy HallidayPANELIST
52:22
yeah I've not seen enough but for the small sample size that we've seen Rangers play to up front this season I think they've really struggled so I think due to Chimiti's injury due to Lon Shankton's poor form at that point in time Rangers almost stumbled across the 4-2-3-1 and then when Minsu Kim came into the team and played behind that striker I just thought it gave them a completely different dimension I thought it suited that lone striker having his energy and dynamic moving around about them so I'd be very very surprised if they altered their way for that shape any way back for Miofsky Ross
Derek McInnesSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
18:06
You know, we're all looking at the same supporters, managers, staff, we're all looking and going, come on, where are we going to actually show our teeth here a wee bit and start to get a bit of attacking threat.
Derek McInnesSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
18:16
I think the introduction of Minsu Kim to the team has helped us in that sense and we've I think all of a sudden we look as if there's goals in us, we look as if we're creating chances and you can start to see the team kind of develop a wee bit.
Derek McInnesSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
18:28
So we're going to have to look at different options at the top end of the pitch, but it's options we have got, thankfully.
BillyHOST
18:38
So options at the top of the pitch, I think he would still be an awful lot happier.
Gary GillanHOST
9:16
And I wonder, because he's surrounded by better players now as well, that everyone's level is going up, and maybe that speaks to the fact that we don't seem to have any kind of lemons in the squad for right now, which is great.
Gary GillanHOST
9:28
Then we had Kim hitting the post around about 19, 20 minutes, or... or so after, I thought it was maybe a wee bit of a better shout for Kusama on a penalty, which we didn't get.
Gary GillanHOST
9:39
The game got a wee bit scrappy.
Gary GillanHOST
9:41
You know, Kim's work rate is, should I say Minsu? He's got Minsu on the back, but his last name's Kim, I don't know.
Gary GillanHOST
9:49
Anyway, but his work rate, his directness, you know, his ability, he just gets the ball, he just wants to go forward, which is absolutely incredible.
Gary GillanHOST
9:56
You know, he didn't have a great game on Saturday, but did well against Falkirk.

8 MINS LATER

Gary GillanHOST
17:56
We got the penalty for a blatant foul on Gassama, who I thought was great again.
Gary GillanHOST
18:00
You know, just played a really good game.
