Kilimanjaro International Airport

British Airways is expanding its long-haul network for summer 2027 with a new service to Tanzania, and more flights to Africa and the United States, and a significant increase in Latin America capacity.

Beginning May 29th next year, British Airways will launch three weekly flights from London Gatwick to Kilimanjaro International Airport, and then continuing onward to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport in Zanzibar.

Uh, the seasonal service will operate through to October 31st, and provide easier access to Tanzania's safari destinations, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar's beaches.

Um, yeah, I know that certainly getting to Kilimanjaro was actually quite tricky, so, uh, I would imagine that a lot of people that want to go and climb that will probably be quite interested in this, um, particular route.

We've tried different methods.

And I suppose the one we found works really well on Kilimanjaro is, you know, if I just tell a bit of a story of this, people, you know, they come on the plane and they look out the window and often the flight route into Kilimanjaro Airport, you go past a mountain in between Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.

So you go between the mountains, you can look out and see them.

And a lot of people look at it, you go, am I allowed to swear on this? I don't know.
