So I, I took students last, uh, July 2026 to the genocide memorial in Kigali, Rwanda, and the state narrative around the genocide was this was the Hutu genocide against the Tutsi people, right? They said, well, there were some good Hutu, some, um, that resisted, just like there's some Germans that resisted the Nazis.

Mm-hmm.

But by and large, this is the official narrative and, and by the way, the Rwandan Patriotic Front that liberated the country is remarkable in that they didn't engage in retributory violence.
