Kickoff

But first, it's a complete preview of today's game.

Here's Countdown to Kickoff.

Good evening, and welcome to Countdown to Kickoff here on TSN 1200.

I'm Steve Bunton.

I'll be your host for tonight's match-up between the Ottawa Redblacks and BC Lions.

You know, make a play there.

But, um, yeah, we're gonna have to obviously score touchdowns we get in the red zone, right? We, the field goals aren't gonna get it done.

Coming up on Countdown to Kickoff, I'll be joined by Grey Cup champion and former CFLer wide receiver James "Duke" Ellingson.

Good evening, and welcome to Countdown to Kickoff here on TSN 1200.

I'm Steve Bunda, and I'll be your host for tonight's matchup between the Ottawa Red Blacks and Hamilton Tiger Cats.

Ottawa coming off a tough 45-31 loss to the Calgary Stampeders, but a second straight game where QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson rallied the Red Blacks offense to 30-plus points.

So, uh, yeah, we gotta score points.

Um, you know, we obviously gotta limit Nate Than, but we, we gotta do a really good job on special teams.

And Sean, you know that whole thing, right? We've seen it a thousand times.

Yesterday on ESPN, the football show that leads up to Kickoff, I forget the name, everybody took the Seahawks.

Yeah, I saw that.

Guess who won? It's always one of these gambling things when somebody goes the same way drop a dollar on the opposite way.

And here's Don.

Kickoff with seven and a half minutes left to play in this third period.

Ed Bell and Mike Battle back at the goal line.

Kick a little short.

So, I mean, fast, super fast, understands our offense, played running back for his first couple weeks.

Then now going back to his natural position at wide receiver, ran, I mean, Caught two big posts last game.

And just an unbelievable athlete.

Can do it all.

And you want kids like that on your football program.

You know, you want that excitement.

You want that kid that goes and practices really hard and is excited on game day.

I mean, he's kind of like the rah-rah linebacker.

One week away from today, BYU football will take on the TCU Horned Frogs.

Kickoff for that game, 5 p.m.

Pre-game begins at 4 o'clock here on KSL.

You're probably thinking...
