Look at the history of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

He was helping his wives.

Look at the Khulafa ar-Rashidun.

They were also helping their h-

But just as a minor nitpick, isn't khula considered a form of divorce?

No. Khula is a, in the context of that it separates the marriage, yes.

But in the context of being divorced, no.

Because the divorce, the woman goes without anything.
