KFRC

I got to listen to Chuck Browning when he first came to New York working at radio station WMCA-AM, but he didn't last long there.

The air check you're going to hear is Chuck Browning working at radio station KFRC-AM.

So without further ado, let's remember August 3rd, 1969, with this Classic Air Check on All Things Radio Live.

And now,

What's the use of breaking up, baby?

Wow, what an air check, and I love those commercials.

Chuck Browning is heard on radio station KFRC-AM in San Francisco, California.

Now, if you have any comments concerning this part of the program, or if there are any classic air checks that you'd like me to present, why don't let me know about it by email or voicemail.

well it's interesting i um You probably know the name Bob Anthony.

Bob worked at KFRC and KHJ and started this little company called Educational Media Foundation, which went on to become the largest Christian broadcasting outfit in the country.

Bob owns a station in Spokane, Washington, which is where he's from originally.

And we get together every month for a beer and talk about radio during my tenure.
