And closing out our top forty countdown at number thirty-one is Manitoba’s national championship and Canada Games hosting legacy.

Brandon hosted basketball at the nineteen-ninety-seven Canada Games at the Keystone Centre.

Winnipeg welcomed Canada Basketball age-group championships in twenty-ten, twenty-eleven, and twenty-sixteen at the University of Manitoba, then hosted Canada Summer Games basketball in twenty-seventeen at the Duckworth Centre and Sport Manitoba courts.

These events brought the country’s best young athletes to Manitoba and strengthened the province’s reputation as a national basketball hosting center.
