Can you talk a little bit about what these collaborations were about? and why it's important to have these collaborations in this field.
20:20
Some of the most enjoyable things that I have been able to do professionally is to be part of these multi-send collaborations.
20:25
And essentially, they're teams.
20:27
I like being part of teams.
20:28
I like building teams.
20:29
I like joining teams.
20:30
I've been involved with all those groups you mentioned very early on.

8 MINS LATER

28:30
As you look into the future, what advances happening right now are you most excited about in this field?
9:16
How do you sort of think about that and make sure that we aren't sort of wandering into more of a, you, you know, a sort of things that are happening off balance sheet that we don't see and at the same time, uh, recognizing the investment that's taking place?
9:32
I think at a minimum, it raises the risk profile, right? There are many circumstances and scenarios where this has occurred in the past, the internet being the most common referenced event and, and that obviously did not work out.
9:49
There's really two scenarios that I look at.
9:53
There, there's multiple scenarios that could happen, but for simplicity, we'll kind of break it down into two.
9:58
The first scenario is that this is such a capital-intensive expansion that people are, are... companies are doing an all-hands-on-deck scenario, and the faster you can get capital from well-capitalized firms, the faster you can build your infrastructure and reach scale so that these large language models are profitable, that if you can expand and take capital from everywhere, then you can actually provide, you have enough compute where all of the enterprises and all of the consumers are able to utilize your product, util- utilize your model, and you reach this kind of escape velocity in the sense of your scale allows you to lower costs and you become more profitable faster.
10:53
That would be the glass half full environment.
10:57
The glass half empty is that they do not reach escape velocity, that the business models needed more time to bring the cost of delivering AI down enough where they could be profitable on their own, that they didn't need this extra capital to reach this enormous amount of scale, that they're moving too fast.

10 MINS LATER

21:08
If you, on that front, if we take that first bullet point, what, what industries do you think are under attack, and how do you invest around that so that you're not left holding a bag that you're not a buggy whip company as Tesla releases their next issue?
102:01
I'm not gonna be the cliche.
102:02
Yeah, it's so fucking sad.
102:04
I was like, "Oh, God." I don't...
102:06
Ah, it's so sad.
102:07
I don't even like dating.
102:08
I don't, I don't...
102:09
I, I can't tell you, I haven't dated since I d- started doing stand-up really, if that makes any sense.
105:32
So insane.
13:17
Can you remind our listeners how the prosecution and defense set the stage for jurors in this quite complicated case?
13:24
Sure.
13:24
The prosecution, uh, painted a picture that Paul was struggling financially, in over his head with an expensive lifestyle, learned his business partner, brother Keith, had plans of not only cutting off his salary, but moving on professionally.
13:36
Um, Keith then discovered that Paul was stealing from him, specifically from a life insurance trust fund.
13:43
Now, authorities allege that Paul knew that he would benefit from this life insurance policy only if Keith and his entire family were dead.
13:52
The defense has floated the theory that the third Caneiro brother, Corey Caneiro, uh, also would benefit if Keith had died, and that Corey was actually in a worse financial situation than Paul.
14:05
So they're definitely throwing some, um, some doubt out there that, that the authorities not only have the wrong brother, but didn't even investigate Corey.
17:53
Can you clear that up for us?
