The key distinction with Murderbot and Children of Time is that they are future classics.

They simply haven't accumulated the decades of cultural consensus required for an all-time list yet.

Um, it reminds me a lot of one of my favorite backlist titles of all time, The Mothers by Brit Bennett.

Uh, I did listen to the audiobook, and I think Erin did as well, so she can weigh in, but the audiobook is narrated by Kevin Free, Kamali Minter, and Adrenne Le Oho.

And I thought they did a fantastic job.

Yeah.

I would almost argue it could qualify as a novella.

I need to see the printed copy because I listened to this, and it is a wonderfully done audiobook narrated by Kevin Free, Kamali Minter, and Andrele Oho.

The narration is fantastic.

But I think I would classify this perhaps as a novella.
