Kevin Mcclure

Um, but it's not exclusively AI, and I wanted to end this 100th episode with a little advice from a couple of past guests on facing the kind of challenging times that higher ed is in the middle of right now.

On episode 69, I had a Take It or Leave It panel, um, and they discussed an essay by Kevin McClure called Higher Ed is Adrift, where really he was kind of critiquing the institutional responses of higher ed, colleges, and universities to the, uh, current US presidential administration's ongoing attacks on higher ed.

Um, [sighs] 2025 was a rough year, folks.

Um, 2026 is not much better.

Let them have that.

[laughs]

Two episodes later, I invited Kevin McClure on the show.

His essay about higher ed being adrift was just really, uh, it was well-timed, let's say.

I'm keeping the Caring University close by.

I think Kevin's amazing, and I'm trying to keep that one close 'cause I think it's very applicable these days more than ever.

Shout out to Dr. Kevin McClure.

We just had him on the pod a couple of months ago, so if you're interested in hearing that conversation, go ahead and head back to our episode releases from the spring.

Number five, the best TV show that you've been binging lately.
