I hated being called that back then, but I was backstage.

I was hanging out with a bunch of like indie bands, like on PA, Kevin Devine.

So like, and I, and like, I can't even describe it to girls nowadays who, um, There's a different world.

You always have awesome bands too, like Tomorrow, Red Rocks, Say Anything, Kevin Devine.

When I wasn't yet in an acoustic singer-songwriter thing, they were all kind of branching out from, hey, all we listen to is the Misfits to, we listen to Kevin Devine now.

... dude, the truth, the truth of the matter is- Like, I have already attained success in the sense that these people that I look up to, uh, some artists I can name, some artists I won't because I'm not, like, I don't have public friendships with them.

But, like, Kevin Devine and Andy Hull are great examples.

These are songwriters that I really look up to.
