Kettering Bug

So the, the, the, the, the very long history of drone t-told shortly is anything that is human-directed, um, and set into motion and reusable, um, is sort of the, the crux of it.

Um, from the, the early history of target drones or even before that, the history of aerial torpedoes, I, um, often point to the developed for but never tested World War I aerial torpedo, the Kettering Bug, which was a, a biplane with a gyroscope that would fly for a certain amount of distance, and then the, um, wings would fall off, and it would dive down.

Um, that's sort of the pro-- the, that's a predecessor of, um, cruise missiles and drones.

And drones, the most crucial factor, and this comes up, um, it came up a lot in theorizing, and it's proven repeatedly again, is that there isn't a person on board.
