Keter Betts

And the band's getting set up.

By the way, Keeter Betts was in the band at the time.

And those of you who are from DC who know Keeter Betts or knew Keeter Betts, I had no idea who Keeter Betts was at the time.

But through the stroke of grace and blessings, I actually wound up playing with Keeter up until the very end of his life.

But that's kind of a tangent.

We all went to... we all went to Duke Ellington and we all were in the DC youth orchestra program.

So it's, and having that rich history, um, Butch Warren, Keter Betts, Steve Novosel, um, our teacher, Carolyn Kellock, who, who, um, was probably one of the best teachers I ever had.

You know, we just, and Davey Yarborough, um, learning how to be professionals at a young age, you know, um, I think, uh, It really helped us into knowing exactly what we wanted to do.

And by the time we were finished with school, we already had that professional mindset.
