I was dressed as a zombie getting ready for the Thriller parade in front of the Kentucky Theater, getting ready to go out behind Michael and Ola, and I got started on the first version of the dance, and apparently I dropped dead.

And people gathered around me and made enough of a scene that a bystander named Charlotte Callen came over to see what was going on, and she had just had cer- gotten certified for CPR.

So she took charge and made sure it was done the correct way, which is compressions only at first.

... and didn't know what had happened there for a while.

Did not.

When you did f- realize what had happened and found out that there was an AED just yards away at the Kentucky Theater, how'd that make you feel?

Ends up there wasn't.

At the historic Kentucky Theater.

He was incredible.

... a public ghost hunt like that.

We wore out the, uh, Kentucky Theater.

We just absolutely got tired of going there.

I've only seen Hootie & the Blowfish in concert one time, and it was at Kentucky Theater here in downtown Lexington in, like, 2001.
