Kentucky School for the Blind

So really it was about distribution.

It was actually at the Kentucky School for the Blind in a room in the basement.

That's where it was started and that's where it stayed until 1883.

So in 1879, the act to promote the education of the blind was passed.

And over 65 years ago, I took some industrial arts courses.

at the Kentucky School for the Blind, we had a very well-developed shop there.

And I was wondering if you use other power tools like drills, jigsaws, sanders, and do you adapt them in some way, mark them, you know, so that you can tell where to line up things and so on?

So, yes, I mean, in our shop at work and in my shop at home, my setup here, I have some of my tools in my garage and some, my lathes are in my basement.

Absolutely.

I can't say too much about this, but I'm working with the Kentucky School for the Blind on a project that will result in a bunch of one offs.

But, you know, and it's a they're getting credit for learning journalism and such.

And, you know, their finished project will also be a podcast.

She's the current principal of KSB, and she has some wonderful things to tell us about KSB and all the neat things that's going on there.
