It could, honestly, it might, m- honestly, I might go to, like, a D minus.

[smacks lips] I, I like Kenny Soares.

I think Kenny Soares is a decent player, but like, h- he's not getting, you know, he's got, I think he has one sack, uh, as of right now, and it was, like, a spin move.

Like, MSU doesn't, has a really ineffective pass rush again, and, you know, you wondered how that would look for them this coming year.

Uh, you know, 'cause Soares was the main addition from the portal, and they moved him from linebacker to rush end, but a linebacker's probably a little small, uh, to go play at defensive end or rush end.

They've had one in the last four, that one being against Notre Dame, being a one-yard loss on a chase down.

Like, they're not getting the quarterbacks in the pocket at all, at all.

So, I mean, th- that's, that's the, that's the tough part, but, uh, I'll go with a D. [smacks lips] Uh, but Kenny Soares has been the best one.

But ultimately, when your defensive ends look like Kenny Soares-

That first touchdown was impressive.

Like, that's not easy to track the ball as Kenny Soares is, puts his hand up there and gets a piece of it.

Uh, the second touchdown, he spins around and gets his foot, uh, down in bounds.

He's made big plays and big moments, and that's something that you can't teach.

I think that was the season opener, uh, against Toledo.

So the secondary-- and it was Kenny Soares.

None of MSU's DBs have gotten in front of a pass and picked it off.

And, you know, if Caden Hauser overthrows someone, maybe Nikolai Martinez or Devin Vaught is sitting there waiting for it.

So I look at Michigan State – Most of their roster, and I just say they're not quite long enough, fast enough, big enough to do it.

When I look at Kenny Soares, the defensive end, he looks like a great mid-major defensive end, an average big 10 defensive end, not an

NFL

guy.

Now, when I said that, Joe, I didn't mean just do these weird exotic blitzes where you're still just only rushing four.

You're sending someone from the nickel position or the corner position and therefore dropping back Kenny Soares into coverage.

So, yeah, the first touchdown went, oh, that's a fun blitz.
