you know just add the goon show beats yes and you're there yeah um we are being very dismissive i appreciate that and this may be some goon show a good goon pod listeners favorite this may be one of their favorite episodes of the goon show but um it's not bad it's not i mean that there's there's a lot worse but it's just it's just a bit pedestrian

i think what i'd argue as well tyler is i don't think we're dissing it i think what we're saying is as well without perhaps saying it so i'll say it now is that to replicate or even get close to replicating the soaring goon show is very difficult you can get close but you never get quite there and you have all it's it's like you've got all the ingredients you've literally got all the ingredients and you've even got spike there it's not as if there's a kenneth connor or a dick emery or whoever filling in you know some unfamiliar voices there and that is a reflection on the greater goon oh see what i did there um but seriously um and so uh please i i never feel we're ever on this podcast if i say so people pulling it down i think because you're passionate you want to understand it more and more and more because it is um it is such an important totem of a certain era And it had an impact beyond the UK in a way that I think many people in the UK don't quite understand the impact it had in places like New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and even on public radio in America.
