No, that's fun.

That's how I feel about Kennedy Ryan's books.

Like whenever she has something I'm like, I can't wait, especially if it's like part of a series.

Yes, the series part is the best part because I enjoy like building upon the peripheral characters that you've gotten to know in previous ones.

And I feel like it's nice to read a romance in that way where you're not kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop.

And I think one of the things that, again, I can't speak to with a lot of authority in this regard, but one of the things that I felt was really beautiful and I heard or saw reiterated in a lot of the other reviews and content that I read about this book was its depiction of black love specifically and the kind of the gentleness and the vulnerability around that, which, again, we don't always necessarily get to see.

We got to experience this with Kennedy Ryan when we read her books.

But it's not really a kind of a par for the course situation, I would say.

I don't think I can possibly at this point watch all of the romance adaptations that are happening, but on my radar, at least.

Kennedy Ryan's Before I Let Go series is coming to Peacock.

for Kennedy Ryan.

She has not just this series, but she has a development deal at Peacock to both develop her own books and then also to tap other books.

And I think her focus is mostly on Black authors and Black romance to develop other properties for Peacock as well.

So these are spice books, but they do have pegging.

We got Score by Kennedy Ryan.

These are big names, too.

Leather and Lark by Bryn Weaver, and that is part of the Butcher and Blackbird.

That was the case with Real by Kennedy Ryan.

And so we have, like, a little unofficial book club where we read different fiction books together.

And so we read the, and I'm recommending these 'cause I think this would be good if you wanna take this on, the, uh, Kennedy Ryan trilogy, the Skyland series, where the first one is Before I Let Go, the second one is This Could Be Us, and then the third one is Can't Get Enough.

So we read the first two together, and so she already started the third one.

I haven't started it yet.
