Ken Costa

So Pastor Agu and I, we've overlapped over the years at different conferences.

Earlier on this year, we were together at the Windsor Gathering with Ken Costa and Pete Greig and co, and more recently at the, uh, Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast in Westminster.

Now, you know, some people spend their lives climbing the ladder of success.

Uh, others discover that God's plans are even greater their own, and Pastor Agu, uh, trained as a lawyer.

You know, the friends that were there, genuine friends.

A friend-- I have a friend who would call me every single day, sometimes twice a day.

People like Ken Costa, who, you know, Ken flew, flew me out, um, with another young guy in our church who had lost his wife.

Flew us out to Namibia.

We make excuses.

On a Saturday morning, Ken Costa, who's one of my mentors, he calls me, and he always checks in.

He says, "How's your week?" And w- uh, what ...

He just speaks into my life a little, and he always says, "What you preaching on tomorrow?" I said, "Um, speaking on 'Blessed are the peacemakers.'" He laughed.

But I felt God say, "Okay, now I'm gonna use you to gather these people together." And I knew some of them, but I didn't kn- know many of them.

And, uh, so obviously Nicky Gumbel got saved during that time, and, uh, and, uh, Pippa and Nicky and Sheila Lee, Ken Costa, I mean, some of those famous HTB ones.

But so I was able to, to start, and my best man, uh, Steven, uh, he, he, he just...

Slowly they began to introduce me to, to other people.

He said, you know...

He and Ken, of course, Ken Costa was very influential too, and they were all, they'd all been filled with the Holy Spirit, and they were all committed to bringing Holy Trinity Brompton into the things of the Holy Spirit.

Yes.

And, and I couldn't have done it without their support because it's no good, I don't think, in an Anglican church trying to change anything unless you've got people who want that change.
