Oh.
4:53
But, um, there were all these guides at the time at like in Filmmaker Magazine where people explained how it was like a race to, for how cheaply you could make a film.
5:04
But those numbers did not really add up in the end.
5:08
Uh, so anyway, I did an ill-advised thing, which is make a film on your credit cards.
5:15
But, you know, we shot it and then I came back to New York and Larry Fessenden, who had played the lead, had a three-quarter-inch editing machine in his bedroom, and he taught me how to edit basically through that process.
5:32
Not the physicalness of it, but just the concepts of what we could do.
5:36
And we cut the film on three-quarter-inch video, and we had shot like a one-to-one ratio.

Yeah
13:04
Why did it take place then?
13:05
Right.
13:06
It's the year, uh, we go into Cambodia, um, and, uh, and it's- uh, National Guard, if you can imagine, are going on to the, um, onto- into the universities and, um, shutting down protestors.
13:23
It's the year of Kent State.
13:24
And, um...
13:26
But it also put- the draft is still on in full swing, and it- but Mooney is a- just, uh, just maybe past the age, and he's got two kids, so it's like another reason that he's not paying that much attention of what's going on around him.
13:43
And so, um, yeah, all that noise about what's happening in the world is just kinda on the peripheral of his, um, his brain, not really in the forefront 'cause he doesn't feel like it has that much to do with him.
15:25
Hmm.
