Kelly A. Grieco

Now, I think this particular purchase doesn't make a lot of sense because I think that these aircraft are geared for a particular type of military and Taiwan is moving away from that or should be moving more towards a defense-dominant area.

And as my colleagues, Kelly Grieco and Hunter Slingbaum have published it, they are going to be taking off from runways that are going to be vulnerable.

But without picking on just this purchase and the delay that it took seven years to deliver the planes that were ordered back in 2019, at this moment in time, I think I can make a pretty credible case that anything that was ordered seven years ago for the U.S. military or for any military seven years ago is worthy of scrutiny.

because things are just happening too fast and change is happening too fast to think that something that looked like a good idea seven years ago still looks like a good idea in 2026.
