Keith Lockhart

And, and Drew, this is actually gonna come back up my way on the, uh, October 30th and 31st.

This is when Keith Lockhart, uh, the conductor of the Boston Pops, is supposed to pick up a baton and, uh, lead two separate performances of Coco Live to Film.

Uh, so gotta see if I can get tickets to that.

Speaking of Michael Giacchino, did you see what he's doing on Halloween night, Jim?

O-

And Keith Lockhart, they've done that before, right?

Yes.

It's not the first.

Hi.

One of my favorite movies from Boston is the action-packed Blown Away from 94. with Jeff Bridges, Tommy Lee Jones, and Keith Lockhart was even there.

Keith Lockhart? No.

Okay, here's a trivia

question.

Coming up on The Culture Show, the Boston Pops is giving fall the full orchestral treatment, from its Day of the Dead concert to a live concert performance of Disney Pixar's Coco to the first stirrings of the holidays at Symphony Hall.

Conductor Keith Lockhart joins us to unwrap what's ahead and what he enjoys about the 12 days and more of Christmas.

From there, we meet the heroes next door, after decades covering American wars.

In her new book, ABC chief global affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz writes about veterans of the post 9-11 generation, reporting on their extraordinary valor, recovery, and the purposeful lives they've built after their service.

And after Christmas, Kermit, Miss Piggy and company appear at Symphony Hall for Disney's The Muppet Christmas Carol with the Pops performing the score live.

So before the calendar gets crowded and Symphony Hall gets very busy, we're getting the full Boston Pops preview from the man holding the baton.

Conductor Keith Lockhart is here to talk about it all.

Welcome back to the show.

Well, thank you for listening to another edition of The Culture Show.

Tune in tomorrow for Keith Lockhart with the ultimate holiday pops preview and ABC journalist and longtime war correspondent Martha Raddatz is here to talk about her new book, The Hero Next Door.

I think it's actually a good companion piece to what we were just talking about, stories of patriotism and purpose about our unheralded veterans and their extraordinary sacrifices.

The Culture Show crew is Max Chow-Gillette, Kate Dulles, and Chelsea Murs.

...

I was so excited to debut it with the Boston Pops, Keith Lockhart, and with the New York Pops, with Steven Reineke this past year.

That's incredible.

Yeah.
