So do you know if they're still not launching weather balloons? And is that a big deal for forecasting in places where they've stopped? Yeah.

Yeah, so the first answer is, there are still offices that are short staffed.

And it is mostly about staffing that the radio songs, the balloons they send up, I don't believe that was like a big budget problem.

It was about trying to reduce the general National Weather Service staff, which it did get kind of backtracked on.

But what happens is some of these meteorologists were nearing retirement anyways.

And they so whatever reason, they took a deal and So there's short staff still.

So there are still places throughout the country that are not getting their twice a day weather balloon launches.

So do you have any ways to stay positive either for yourself or do you stay positive personally or anything? Got anything for our audience to like, feel a little more positive

How did how did the Maine Conservation Voters Opportunity come up? Like what was your kind of thought process behind taking on this new job? Tell us a little more about what you do and then we can like get into kind of some of the day to day there, too.

Yeah, sure.

So I mean, so the first step for me was actually just being like, OK, I've done TV for almost 20 years now.

Do I see myself doing it another 20? Like, let's assume I retire at like a normal age.

And the answer to that was no.

Like, I felt like I had accomplished.

I got my dream job at the Weather Channel.

But I'm always fascinated by like, what do people care about in their own backyard?
