Keita Bates-Diop

Honestly, V.J. Edgecombe and Tyrese Maxey are kind of the only Sixers I want this year, so I got them both.

Why not? Uh, later rounds in draft, they made us Keita Bates-Diop, pick 9,11.

I think that's fantastic.

Uh, Kamal Malik Watch, I'm betting on upside, doc.

Rose wasn't done there.

One month later, the Knicks traded away Julius Randle, Dante DiVincenzo, and Keita Bates-Diop to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Karl-Anthony Towns, arguably the best shooting center in NBA history.

One of the biggest reasons for the Knicks' financial flexibility was the fact that Jalen Brunson signed a four-year $156 million extension, rather than waiting for a projected five-year $269 million deal in 2025.

This allowed the Knicks to sign Towns and stay below the second apron, and made Brunson the team's favorite player among fans.
