Keba Keita

Keba Keita is part of the Noblesville Boom, an affiliate of the Indiana Pacers.

KJ Burgess, BYU women's volleyball, was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season.

For her performance in wins over Colorado and Arizona State last week, Burgess leads the country in blocks per set this season.

Ryan Lucas, thank you for the soup chat.

Palenka should go get Keba Keita for a two-way ASAP.

I know you've been plugging that on X, so we'll keep an eye on Keita and keep an eye on the Lakers two-way situation because I don't I think whether it's him or someone else, I think they should go in a different direction instead of AK Okereke.

I just have not been impressed by what I've seen from him.

Now, are they somewhat vulnerable on defense? Sure, but I think the early returns, and like I said, it's one exhibition game, but what we saw against Nebraska was BYU's perimeter players getting after it.

No longer are they going underneath on screens and they're not able to kind of slack off expecting the guy like Keba Keita is behind them and capable of cleaning up their mess defensively.

They are being told, hey, you need to attack these guys on the perimeter.

You've got to defend harder on the perimeter.

I get that.

But look at the last two years for BYU defensively.

They really, in many respects, played what I consider to be some ole defense, expecting that Keba Keita and the other big men would clean up the mess at the rim.

That's not the case this year, nor should it be.

And ultimately, just kind of a fun game.

When you're watching these preseason games, the fourth quarter rolls around, and the team's like, Braden Smith, Rink Mast, Keba Keita, Ben Shepard.

Guys, go out there and just have some fun.

And we got to see Larry Nance, too, in this one.

Jagor scored six points and dished out five assists in the Nets' preseason opener on Tuesday.

How about this? Keba Keita scored four points and grabbed a rebound for the Indiana Pacers in a 123-112 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves last night in the NBA preseason.

Let's go, Keba.

Number 20 women's soccer is on the road at number 16 West Virginia in a very important Big 12 Conference match tonight.
