Kaysville

This is southbound I-15 in Farmington as you're heading off to Park Lane on that exit ramp there.

It is over to the right shoulder, but we do still have residual delays all the way from Kaysville into Centerville from two earlier crashes there as well.

And if you're a little bit further south, just after the North Interchange heading into downtown, you'll see slowing there as well.

Up in Parley's Canyon, you do have that right lane slow down as you're trying to turn off from eastbound I-80 to Highway 40.

We do still have this crash southbound I-15 in Farmington.

As you're hopping off I-15 to Park Lane, it is over to the right shoulder.

And we do still have some residual delays traveling between Kaysville and heading into Centerville from some earlier crashes.

West Davis Corridor also looking slow as you're merging onto I-15 there.

That's especially from 90 south all the way into Salt Lake.

South 15 easing a little in the south side of Davis County, but still pretty slow from Kaysville all the way down to Centerville.

We still have delays southbound I-15 from Kaysville all the way into Centerville due to some rainy and wet roads right now, especially if you're merging onto I-15 or Legacy Parkway from the West Davis corridor.

That transition ramp is really slow right now.

Her family briefly moved to Irvine, California before returning to Utah, where she has lived ever since.

Carly attended Windridge Elementary in Kaysville, Utah until fourth grade before her family moved to Pleasant Grove.

She then attended Manila Elementary in Pleasant Grove Junior High and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 2017.

Carly continued her education at Brigham Young University in Provo, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing in 2022.

And that eastbound right lane is still looking slow if you're heading over to Highway 40.

If you're coming out of Davis County, it is a little bit slow and go on southbound I-15 from Kaysville into Farmington.

But after that, it picks back up and you're at good speeds all the way into Salt Lake City.

If you're on Foothills Drive, heading out of the canyon, Parley's Canyon, that is looking a little bit slow there as well.

Third, traffic and weather together.

Still some light delays.

Southbound I-15 coming from Kaysville into Farmington.

And eastbound I-80, some residual slowdowns with crashes that were in Parley's Canyon.

A Kaysville neighborhood that was pounded by hail last week is now being pounded by roofing and repair companies.

My wife's parents are the most religious people.

I know they live there in Kaysville by you.

And I remember his... sister died in a car wreck she was kind of she was kind of having some uh alzheimer episodes you know memory memory loss and stuff and she got on really affluent family i mean very wealthy uh they were doctors in colorado and she just happened to get on the freeway the wrong way and head on the car and and instantly killed her and i don't know about the others but

um just devastating for the family

Nick was forced to hike out, leaving their truck behind overnight.

The National Weather Service said the tornado formed Friday afternoon after meteorologists spotted a classic hook echo on a radar near Kaysville.

We started to see basically like a hook echo that you see on a supercell in like Oklahoma form over the Kaysville area.

And that's when we issued our tornado warning, said

Brittany Whitlam, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Salt Lake.

Tornado warning was issued this afternoon about 1.45 p.m., and the warning lasted until 2.15 p.m., and it included parts of the Wasatch Front in Davis County and Morgan and South Weber Counties as well.

Video was posted from Kaysville.

Up on the hill to the east of Kaysville, someone actually was able to get this shot.

You can actually see the funnel cloud in the storm as it moves over the mountains headed towards Morgan County.

As it passes, you actually see the funnel cloud form and touch down on the mountainside there.

above Kaysville, roughly the Farmington-Layton-Kaysville area.

But it was a Kaysville resident who got the video and sent it to the National Weather Service.

I've posted that on our social media as well.

It's approximately 20 feet by 13 feet.

And it's located in Kays Hollow in Kaysville, Utah.

It was constructed in the 1940s, and the origin of its construction is unknown.

Nobody really knows who put it up.
