Katy Trail

And you guys, oh, one thing that I love, the people that are out and about, like there's just so many people where like Dallas isn't a walking city.

Like people are on the Katy Trail because that's where you do an athleisure walk.

And rightfully so, because it's a hundred degrees.

Like, of course nobody walks, but like you will see like at lunchtime in downtown Dallas, like people out and about.

fantastic.

I have a son in Dallas, and there's a big run club on the Katy Trail in Dallas, and it's really, my son's in his 20s, it's where they all go to meet each other.

They don't go to bars.

I mean, I'm sure they go to bars, but the Katy Trail is where you want to be if you're in your 20s on a weekend or a Friday night in Dallas.

I'll have to go there sometime.

Yeah.

I just try to just make sure when I, when I do have time for other things, that I'm really honing in on that time.

And, you know, even tell my friends, uh, you know, "Do you have time for a quick walk? Can we go do, you know, a quick walk on the Katy Trail?" Um, or, you know, "Do you wanna grab a coffee or do you wanna grab a glass of wine?" Or whatever, you know, something, something quick, um, just to sort of fuel that area of my life.

So, maybe it's just made me more aware of my time or more focused with my time.

Um, and so I think, you know, it definitely takes you away from being able to do...

You know? There's a guy at Preston that says, "I have a life beyond my wildest dreams." And for me, you know, I used to stay up for three days and peek out of the blinds at 5:00 in the morning and, you know, thinking that the SWAT team was coming, and watch people jogging and pushing baby strollers and thinking, "God, being normal never looked so good." You know, you could just tell they'd had a full night's sleep.

[laughing] And now, you know, I live over by this thing called the Katy Trail, and sometimes I, if I'm feeling frisky, I'm out there early in the morning or down in the Uptown area, and I know some kid is looking out the window [laughs] watching me get my exercise after a full night's sleep, okay? That's, that's, that's good enough for me, you know? Um, for those of you that, uh- are new or that you, those of you that are struggling, you just have to stay.

And you just, if you keep praying and keep doing the things and keep connecting with people, the magic of so- out- sober alcoholics talking to each other is an, is an un- an unbelievable thing.

Um, I remember, uh, it was pointed out to me that, that ...

Now, there are many other cases of sightings, but here is another humanoid one.

Around noon on September 5, 2015, two people were walking along Katy Trail in Dallas, a popular walking area, when they noticed two very unusual people who they wonder if they were even human because they were walking with a very unusual gait.

According to the witnesses, it looked like these two people were wearing costumes and wigs and were looking around them uncomfortably as if they were trying to blend in.

It happened to be a very hot day, and the clothing that these two figures were wearing was inappropriate for the weather.

I, I live, uh, in Uptown, so it's not too far from the AAC.

It's about two miles, but I walked on the Katy Trail.

Uh-huh.

Okay.

Yeah, this guy putting on a Chucky mask and scaring the heck out of people.

He would scare me.

I will tell you, uh, walking on that Katy Trail last night at around 10:30, it was hot.

If that guy had come out of the bushes wearing that mask, I would've freaked out.

If I wanted something to do this Friday and I didn't really have any plans, for instance, I went running last Friday and I was walking to the trail.

I needed to park somewhere else and I was walking up to the Katy Trail in Dallas and And I saw that everybody was going to the American Airlines Center.

That's where the Dallas Mavericks play.

And I was like, hmm, what's going on over there? I Googled it.
