Katter's Australian Party

Oh, hilarious.

Bob Katter's political party is called Katter's Australian Party.

Right.

Which is KAP, which is literally cap.

You might have actually opened a line of conversation 'cause he didn't actually join the Labor Party.

He quit the National Party and formed a mutant strain called the Katter Australia Party, which at one point had about six lower house seats in Queensland, and they, uh, would block everything Annastacia tried to get through.

Um, but then again, did the same to the Liberals.

No, Bob's unique.

He spoke to media in Townsville this morning.

We have introduced a bill into the Queensland Parliament, the KAP, and that is E10 is basically E10.

Not 1%, not 2% when you go to the service station and fuel up at that bowser and it'll say E10.

Normally it's around 2%, 1% according to the last report.

We don't have the ability to control Canberra, so we should do it and lead the way.

But they've stepped away from that and they've flagged that in the response for their government control committee that has said we recommend it not be passed.

But that's... consistent with their voting behaviour on this right throughout its history, except for when the KAP forced the 4% mandate through the hung parliament, they all tried to claim credit for it.

But ever since then, their voting record's been consistently against it.
