She who shall not be named.
9:04
But so, yeah, this for me is a really interesting topic because and again, everyone has opinions and you are free to agree with this or not.
9:12
I don't mind.
9:13
My opinion on this whole matter is I don't and I don't and have never believed that trans women are a threat.
9:22
I do understand that we need to guarantee as best we can the safety of spaces when it comes to toilets, changing rooms, that kind of thing.
9:30
However, the narrative that predatory people will pose as trans women or that trans women themselves are indeed a threat in order to get to women just is absolutely ridiculous to me.
9:44
And I'm actually now more scarce now that we've had this kind of the law change, which means that trans women who there's this designation around biological sex, if they would then be categorized as men have to use men's toilets, which now means that trans men.
14:15
Why are there so
13:44
Where's the downloadable
13:45
PDF and we can all go home.
13:47
No, it's it is.
13:49
And that's the reason why difficult conversations are so flipping difficult, because they are complex and contextual.
13:56
So.
13:57
More often than not, we create stories, right? And I talk a lot about how do we know whether or not we're a good or a bad person, right? Because when we create these narratives in our head, half the time is, well, I don't want to try and say the wrong thing, get it wrong.
14:11
Then I'm going to be labeled with an Easter and then I'm a bad person.

9 MINS LATER

23:17
Yeah.
8:09
Mm
8:09
... having trials with your hair to see how it looks on, on screen.
8:14
All of that was completely new.
8:17
So everything was sort of building up to this moment of being on set as Ethel.
8:23
So I remember it just feeling really huge, and then starting filming and thinking, "Oh, this is actually, this is really lovely."

12 MINS LATER

20:18
You went off to drama school.
20:19
Yes.
20:20
Didn't require [laughs] any grades for that, but yeah, I did.
