Kathryn Tucker Windham

From a small farming community in Mississippi, she too has a reputation for integrity.

She was photographed with Jeffrey because she, along with several friends, was visiting her newspaper coworker, Catherine Windham, one evening when they decided to make photographs in Catherine's house.

One of the prints showed a ghost.

Catherine Windham and her former English teacher, Margaret Gillis Fye of Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, have gone out of their way to be neutral concerning Jeffrey and the 13 other ghosts in this book.

When the two authors completed this ghost book, Catherine suggested we meet her in Decatur, Alabama, at a statewide conference of the Alabama Associated Press.

So we went, and she handed us a notebook containing an original and carbon of this ghost chronicle.

She was awesome.

Catherine, Catherine Tucker Windham.

So Catherine Tucker Windham, she wrote these great books about ghosts in the South.

And she would always do 10 ghosts, and it'd be like 10 Tennessee Ghosts and Jeffrey.

Jeffrey was the name of the ghost that haunted her, and so she would always do these.

And I don't know that we necessarily have them.

10 Enter the State's Name Ghosts and Jeffrey, those are the books.

And it's Catherine Tucker Windham.
