and what that means moving forward.

So, Face Equality International.

And we went along and we spoke about this, and Gerard Quinn at the time, but also this was a testament to someone called Susan Scott Parker as well, this incredible opportunity.

We then came out of this first strategic review with a human rights focus, that lived experience focus group, all of that human experience, we came out of it very strong, boldly affirming in our messaging that we would focus on face equality as a human rights issue.

Not long before I'd published a paper together with Kathleen Bogart on this issue in a medical journal.

And we also published a series of research with our pro bono partners, Reed Smith, into the European Charter of Fundamental Rights, the UK Equality Act, the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and also the American Disability Act, and all of the gaps in all of those laws for people with disfigurements.
