Kathleen E. Woodiwiss

My brother, one of my brothers who's two years younger than me, he calls me up and he goes, "Have you ever read this book?" And I'm like, "I never heard of it." He says, "You have to read it.

It's really, really good." Well, it was The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen Woodiwiss.

[laughs] And like, it's a romance.

Mm-hmm.

Well, you, you, you get the picture.

Yeah.

And, um, so that's what got me into reading romance was Kathleen Woodiwiss and then LaVyrle Spencer and, and, um, and then, um, you know, growing up in school, you know, we weren't taught, or I don't remember anyway, taught that people wrote the books, that somebody had to write the books that we were reading.

You know, now they, they teach writing with kids.
