Katherine Jenkins

I guess you could call it tied for 10th or an 11th place, uh, position, but I wanted to give it, uh, some love because this jive is going back to season 14, long time ago.

A gal named Catherine Jenkins, and her partner was Mark Ballas.

By the way, Mark is like the king of the jive here.

I was looking over my list, and of all the ones I wrote down, he's on here almost half the time [laughs] with a partner, so I guess Mark's the king of jives for me.

But, uh, yeah, Catherine Jenkins back in season 14, uh, she was an opera singer, I believe, from Europe.

Never had heard of her before.

And she was, like, one of the early crushes I had on the show.

So there's Carreras.

Then you've got Il Divo, Catherine Jenkins, Natalie Mbruglia, Shepard, Darren Hayes, Ronan Keating, Anne Wilson, The Cause, Robbie Williams.

This is an amazing line-up.

And among them is the Australian Mark Vincent.

You know, there were claw marks left on it when it was pried from their hands, and I think you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.

And now we have Katherine Jenkins and, and Andrea Bocelli and-

Mm-hmm, yeah

...

She's performed for royalties, sung at some of the world's biggest events, become one of the world's most celebrated classical singers.

It's Katherine Jenkins.

Welcome to the show.

What a line-up.

Sure.

I've had those conversations in recent months with a fantastic soprano from Swansea, could be the next Katherine Jenkins, got everything, but 1,000 followers.

And nobody cares.

You're right.

I, I fancied her when I was younger, I can tell you that for free.

Um, but Catherine Jenkins is very...

Her performance is really bad.

It's bad.

I like, quite like that.

Maybe Katherine Jenkins, also quite on brand.

Someone a bit higher brow.

Cliff Richard?

Now, according to this, uh, he- here's your last go.

Assuming you're not doing the c- uh, the Catherine Jenkins Christmas special this year, um, I, I'm reading, according to the blurb I found, you've got, uh, a time travel thriller called Flashback, a high-concept horror called Ten Times Dead, a musical dance comedy called Dancing with the Scars, um, and a ticking clock chase thriller called Anchor.

So in the Ken Petrie movie universe, which I've just invented-

[laughs]

And yeah, I'm just, I'm still slightly in the Sunny Dancer afterglow of as this pushes out, and then I think by the turn of the year, uh, yeah, hopefully, hopefully we'll be off and running again.

So yeah, hopefully, again, things that are so warmly received.

You know, I'm delighted that you enjoyed it and, you know, enjoyed Sunny Dancer and obviously the Catherine Jenkins Chri- Christmas special.

I did.
