And we had a chance of breaking that record.

And that swimming athletics... competition you can't help it yeah we're all competitive aren't we involved in this sport and we were sitting there counting medals and we went to the morning session I think we won seven in the morning and we had six to come in the afternoon and that evening session we invited Kate Jenkins the chair of the Australian Sports Commission to come and sit with us and she's a massive fan of sport and really positive and enthusiastic so she was very good company for us to have.

And we kept counting those medals.

And then when the men won the four by one, like I know they're really good.

So there's a lot of disincentives on people to actually come forward and and make a complaint of workplace sexual harassment.

So what we realised through an inquiry that the Australian Human Rights Commission ran, led by my predecessor, Commissioner Kate Jenkins, the Respect at Work inquiry, was that the laws were ineffective.

They weren't working.

And so we needed to have a different response.

Just three words that say so much.
