Kate is the director of the new movie Soulmate, the newest film set in the Megan universe.

She wrote it and directed it, and I thought we could ask her on the show today.

What's the preparation for playing? I mean, you're an AI robot, right? What's that preparation like?

Look, for me, I'm like taking on this role and working with Kate Dolan, who's a brilliant, brilliant filmmaker.

I'm like, I want the challenge to be for David's character to feel the silicon, to feel how much can I bring it in that she doesn't feel like this seamless robot that it seems so far-fetched in the future that you could see why a man would fall in love with.

So I'm like, basically, I'm like, how do we get to the skeletal system of a robot? How do I basically strip it back through like mask work, sort of miming clown work, like the Jack LeCocq school of thought, which is approaching a character from the physicality in.
