Katandra West

So good win there to Cobram over at Namurka Town.

And the other game, Katandra West, 58-53 over Tokamal, 14 points to two.

Merv Hannaford, 18-14 over Rod Brown.

And Rob Glover, 22-16 over Gary Mott.

Stephen Gill, 23-18 over Coal Power, picking up two points there for Tokamal, but it was Katandra West getting over the line there.

Just a quick look at the ladder after three rounds.

Baruga remains unbeaten by the skin of their teeth.

Toke them all one and two on 20 points.

Couldn't go up because they didn't have the numbers, so it's good to see that they're up there now.

Yeah, and then my club, as I mentioned, Katandra West.

We lost Diana and McMahon to Baruga.

They're great servants of the club, but I'm sure they'll enjoy their time there.

And would you believe it, 63-62 in the other game.

This time, Namurka Townsway against Katandra West, 14 points to two.

Jeez, that'd be a rarity.

Two games coming down to one shot with the exact same shots for both teams.

This is always a big game between the arch rivals.

Yeah, I'm selecting Barooga Sports to win that two rinks to one and by 16 shots.

Straff Merton are playing Katandra West at Straffy.

I'm going for Straff Merton.

Division Two and Three will kick off next week on the 13th of October.

Uh, three pretty lopsided, uh, results in round one of Murray Division One midweek, uh, starting with Cobram defeated Katandra West 78 to 46, winning two of the three rinks on offer there.

It was, uh, Ron Doherty beating Merv Hannaford 27 to 16.

Uh, picked up a seven on end 10 and a five on end 19, so those 12 shots there, well, the, the overall margin on that rink was 11.

Uh, the other big rink win was Marge McDonald, 34 to 11 over Peter Loyer.

Um, yeah, so they picked up, uh, a six as well, so some big numbers there.

And, uh, you know, Col Power won 19 to 17, the Katandra West coach, to pick up two rink points for Katandra West, but it was all Cobram in that one, Brian.

Yeah, big win by Cobram, and that would've surprised you a bit, wouldn't it?

Where did you grow up? Where did your family grow up? And what was life like as a kid?

So I grew up in Katandra or the Golden Valley, Katandra West, a little dairying region.

Born there, parents were farming there and went to the local school there and then progressed into Shepparton which was 20km away.

Did my secondary schooling there.
