What's it like having family members spread across lots of different clubs?

Yeah, it's a bit weird.

They're both teachers.

They used to be teachers and now they've infiltrated my industry.

No, it's great.

I think, you know, they both have different stories and, you know, they're both so passionate about Indigenous culture and, you know, what they do.

Mum's been at St Kilda for probably five years now and um i think what she's done in that club um has been really good and um you know the the amount of stuff that she's brought into the club has has been a stand um and i'm you know really proud of her and then my sister as well so she's she's really proud she come obviously come from a teaching background as well but um you know the work that she's done at north melbourne in a short time i think she got there and she went on maternity leave straight away which which was great for her but um you know that she runs all their sort of policies and runs the sort of the upstairs space of their Indigenous and resources and stuff.

Can you tell us a little bit more about that journey and what Perthes was and what that meant for you as a young kid? Because I think that You know, it's been really epic to see you channel that adversity that you went through from a young age and, you know, build this really amazing career for yourself as an athlete now.

What's changed this year compared to last year that you think might take you to the next level and Semenya's that top four side?

Yeah, I think one of those things, especially talking for the back line, I think we've just got that continuity of the players around us.

I mean, with JB and TB coming in last year, it probably took us halfway through the year to actually connect and gel properly as a group.

And I think in the last year or two, we've had a sort of real solid side that...

I actually don't think we had any debutantes last year.

So we had a real structured side that we just worked well together.

And we've probably been tested in that spot this year.
