And then basically the purpose of the splash system from a competitive perspective is to fill the holes in your roster, right? that are short.

If you're like, oh, I have this great roster, it's great, but it just stinks at pay-to-flips, as an example, then it's possible that your solution is just, I'm going to play Omega Sentinel.

It's just so I have...

I'm not as weak on pay to flips because I have a good pay to flip model.

uh my round one was against jason harner a really good player from the pittsburgh area he was playing hellfire club i was on webs as usual um we played scientific samples and strike team so it's a pay to flip with the bonus point from the samples and we were playing on 17. so i brought my usual 17 of spider-man noir black cat a Ghost Spider, Spider-Woman, and Miles Morales, Ultimate Spider-Man.

He had Proxima Midnight, Emma Frost, Dorm, Angel, and then Omega Sentinel, since it was a pay-to-flip.

Round one...

he kind of just did the things where we moved to our spots, tried to pay to flip things.

At the end of round two, I go from being up by one to being down by two.

And then around three is where the tide kind of shifts a little bit.

I play all webbed up, and I think I'm in a really good spot to take out Omega Sentinel.

I roll eight dice into her with Gwen Stacy's Ghost Spider, deal a bunch of damage, leave her alive on one, and then go into her with my Builder, which is normally four dice, but since I attacked her once this turn, it adds three dice, and since it's all webbed up, it adds two dice.

Not sure if it's also going to repeat for Mission 7 on this because there was nothing specified for Mission 7 in these offers there, so... probably going to repeat that, but we will see when it comes to the game or when we get the announcement of what is coming.

Now, mission four, a lot of characters there, but mainly it looks like they're trying to get us to use the West Coast Avengers here because we have Wasp, Wasp Janet, War Machine, Hawkeye, Mockingbird, a tiger, but also Ghost, Guardian, Hellcat, Iron Fist, World War II, Lady Deathstrike, Nimrod, Omega Sentinel, Peggy Carter, Red Guardian, Captain Sam, Scientist Supreme, Taskmaster Victoria Hand, Yelena Belova, and then we got the full West Coast Avengers team.

So some weird semblance of characters here, but I think they want to see the West Coast Avengers.

We also got some recent characters.

It's fun.

JP, what do we think of Jamie and his leadership?

So the actual design space has been explored, obviously, but as a leadership, it hasn't.

So I do really like this leadership.

Obviously, like you mentioned, Omega Sentinel.

Then we've got a few others.

We've got Bass Panther, Heimdall, who allow rerolls.

Being able to go power positive with that is huge.

And it's one thing I think we discussed in one of the first episodes, we were talking about Omega Sentinel, and if she was, because she could potentially be affiliated in X-Men, her being able to go, okay, cool, I'm moving up to this objective, long move, small base, can get to most of them in one move, bing, okay, cool, I get one refunded, I'm now on two power, I can then charge one down in the enemy's zone sort of thing.

yeah, it'd just be, I understand why she's not affiliated.

Strange who can mod skulls so you can mod skulls on the reroll for the um flipping objectives and he's gaining power as well like he's just going to become a pay-to-flip monster as a splash yeah so

is um omega sentinel

yeah absolutely like reading over reroll two then reroll one crazy good um anyone who has charges and um web swings because you're standing on an objective you gain that extra power you now can get into the opponent's face or to another objective without spending an action, plus potentially boosting your attack.

Um, he's just been a really versatile model where Omega Red isn't quite as strong.

How do you think Prowler compares to Omega Sentinel, who's been highly talked about ever since Simon and Nate won their respective events? I've...

I was of the opinion that Prowler was much worse than Omega Sentinel, but after playing a handful of Prowler games, I was pretty impressed, and I thought that gap was not quite as wide as I originally thought.

Yeah, well, and honestly, even if it is, like he's affiliated.

Yeah.

[laughs] So it's kinda like, uh, uh, you know, this list in theory could take Omega Sentinel.

Like it could be, "Hey, look, I'm gonna put all pay to flips in my secures, and I'm gonna run Shadowland, Prowler, Omega Sentinel, Echo, Toad as my pay to flip plan." Like I, I don't wanna run pay to flips and voluntarily opt into that game, but I think people should be very open-minded to the idea of like a Shadowland and Toad grabbing the extracts and having a Prowler and a, [laughs] an Omega Sentinel going around flipping things.

I think that could be really strong.

It's pretty impactful.

A little bit of anti-Omega Sentinel technology.

Yeah, true.

She does not like them.

But it's still a power leadership.

It's free power that utilizes... that also makes everybody into Prowler slash Omega Sentinel.

right yeah and everyone on the internet just is like going over the moon about omega

the timing is different because his occurs during the power phase and not like when the objective interaction happens but yeah

They go last, and they just flip points over everybody.

They get up high easy, and then all they have to do is maintain parity, but they don't even need to maintain parity because they just start flipping everything.

If you bring pay-to-flips against X-Men, I'm not saying it's a loss or anything, but it's an uphill battle against a good X-Men player who's slotting in Omega Sentinel.
