Jones said he's investigating whether the sheriff and Greene County deputies deprived people of rights protected by state and federal law during the traffic stops.

Delegate Karen Hamilton represents Greene County in the Virginia General Assembly.

Our sheriff out in Greene County has been, uh, elected to keep Green- Greene County safe, and he's been doing that lawfully, and I feel, um, I'm suspicious at least that he's being politically targeted.

Um, he is a Trump supporter.

Uh, you know, city, a city, uh, police chief has to answer to his, uh, city council and to his mayor and those folks.

The constitutional sheriff answers to his people as well, but he has a lot more autonomy and authority.

And so this is just a witch hunt from Two Bullets Jones, and in fact, uh, when the Sheriff Smith called me, uh, I called Karen Hamilton, who was on the, the program earlier, but the second person I called was Senator Stanley.

So the reason the sheriff isn't taking, uh, Nick Minadi, uh, questions is because, uh, I'm, I'm basically the spokesperson [laughs] for the sheriff and Senator Stanley now, because, uh, Senator Stanley likes to win in court, and, uh, he doesn't mind me speaking about things as they are politically.
