Kamilla Cardoso

She's, they don't have any, they, you know, anytime they, cause like the first is, it's actually really funny that that first game against the sky and also the other times they played the sky.

If Camila Cardoso could play against the fire every single night, she would be like a hall of fame.

She might be the MVP.

Like she literally,

They were led in scoring by Gabriela Jaquez with 18 points, but it was overall a very balanced scoring effort.

They had Sydney Taylor also with 18, Camila Cardoso with 17, Courtney Van Der Soet with 10, and J.C. Sheldon off the bench with 12 points.

With...

Camila or they also had 11 free bounds from Elizabeth Williams as well.

They've done a phenomenal job of like securing possessions and winning that rebounding battle and making sure that teams are one and done down the court.

I mean, ultimately this is how the Chicago sky should have been playing for the past several years when they had both Angel Reese and Camilla Cardoso, but we're digressing a little bit, but, But in your opinion, why else has this team been able to find this success in essentially year two of this build with Sonia Citron, Kiki Iria-Fan being at the forefront of it? Of course, you have Shakira Austin, but you also have these other players of Georgia Amor, Lauren Betts, Angela Dulich, all being factors as well.

Yeah, I think there are a lot of reasons.

I think the most obvious is probably just how good the big three have been.

I would assume...

You're trying to get the most possible out of your young players and in particular Camila Cardoso and see like, you know, see something else like in these last few games, but Natasha cloud from the perimeter.

I mean, I know the opportunities aren't always there necessarily just because of like And she's not an inherently selfish player.

And I do actually watch her run this team.

And whenever we go up against really kinda back to back traditional post players, we've seen them struggle before.

Your girl, Camila Cardoso, had that history [laughs] making-

[laughs]

... night against the Fire, where she was, like, perfect from the field and had, like, a bunch of points.

And it mattered because Aaliyah Boston was out and Munit Billings had four fouls by halftime.

Russell gave Indiana more than a 6'6 emergency option against Camila Cardoso.

She gave them a stable interior lineup.

So please don't shrink her out just because Boston's back from Berlin.
