Kamari Lassiter

So you've got those unbelievable corners on the outside for Houston.

Kamari Lassiter and Derek Stingley, been my favorite corner in the NFL for five years is Derek Stingley.

Love Derek Stingley.

It's also a poor schematic matchup for him against cover three, cover four, which they run about 54% of the time.

I know he did not test near as well as what I thought.

But there's a lot of guys they have in that secondary right now who didn't necessarily test the greatest, but have become really, really good players, i.e. Kamari Lassiter, some other guys that they already have there.

So it would not shock me at all if Ramsey is the next guy in line who just has a phenomenal career despite not having the greatest testing results.

Yep, I like it.

That's the big change.

And I know you have Derek Stingley and Kamari Lassiter and all that, but DJ Moore, he's a big play receiver.

He's also a guy that doesn't usually get tackled by the first guy.

Really good at making you miss, breaking tackles, getting extra yardage that isn't there.

Four different players with four interceptions last season.

I mean, Derek Stingley, Kalen Bullock, Jalen Petrie, Kamari Lassiter.

Yes, those guys are very good, but you wonder if they had a try in last day.

half second longer in coverage if those numbers would be as gaudy.

Where in one offseason, the Texans went out and added Aziz, Daniil.

In that same offseason, they drafted Kamari.

Right? Right.

We've seen the Houston Texans do some things defensively where it screams, this is 100% D'Amico Ryan's moves and ideas.

Can't talk about vision, can't preach vision if You're not actively every off season, every month, every day of the year as a head coach, we reworking how to execute your vision.

And I think 1.0, 2.0, that vision included Will, Daniil, and those extensions and Aziz bringing them over from Tennessee after his first year.

And, you know, Kamari Lassiter and Kalen Bullock and even attempted things with CJ Gardner-Johnson, but reforming and reshaping Jalen Petrie.

That was the vision.

They might get into some more man coverage situations.

They're going to probably put a lot of they're going to put a lot of trust in Kamari Lassiter and Derek Stingley to to handle D.J. Moore.

And then it's a matter of, okay, can the offensive line for the Bills hold up long enough to use DJ Moore as that deep threat downfield? And going back to what the Texans' weakness was at times, it was very rare last year that the Texans allowed a touchdown drive where they didn't allow one explosive play at some time.

If offenses just try to nickel and dime their way down the field and drive steadily, the Texans are going to get you at some point.

But otherwise, I think their opportunity is both very, very good right now.

I can tell you why Joe is down three on DJ Moore because Houston's defense is amazing and he's going to be guarded by either Derek Stingley or Kamari Lassiter.

So that is why he's down three on DJ Moore.

Anybody else you want to talk about, man? This is your rankings.

And you can take them completely out of that if you go, hey, guess what? Go ahead and put those DBs on the field and watch it just mash you.

If you can limit your exposure to throwing at Derek Stingley and Kamari Lassiter and Bullock, you should limit your exposure to having to do that on principle, let alone having to block Will Anderson and Daniil Hunter.

It's just so funny how closely these teams mirror each other because the Texans, again, were a very heavy six offensive line team last year because Dalton Schultz is just as bad of a blocker as all of the other Bills tight ends were before they got Hawes in there.
