Kali Yuga

You must do that or you will end up in a dead end.

Where we headed is not where we been.

It's Kali Yuga.

We at the hands of the fallen men.

Righteous teachers were given wisdom like Solomon.

Look.

An overactive imagination, they medicate it And then sedate it, expect the worst and exaggerate it I'm frustrated, where we headed is not where we been It's Kali Yuga, we at the hands of the fallen men Righteous teachers, we're giving wisdom like Solomon I grab my pen and write blessings that will bind up the djinn It's God's breath and I feel it like I'm feeling the wind I come too far to look back and start over again Stimulate your mind, you seek and you will find The kingdom is inside, wake up and realize You need nothing that's outside the blind, leading the blind Pharisees and false scribes, religion will only blind When truth hits the mystic mind, one begins to prophesy.

Dreams and visions dwell inside.

Resonate and start to shine.

Some texts, like the Bhagavata Purana, argue that Vishnu descended as the Buddha to purposely spread false knowledge in order to destabilize the wicked.

The text says, then in the beginning of Kali Yuga, which is the age we're currently living in, the Lord will appear as Lord Buddha in the province of Gaia.

just for the purpose of deluding those who are envious of the faithful theist other traditions say that he descended as the buddha to teach compassion the rights of animals and non-violence in his poem called the gita govinda the hindu poet jayadeva writes moved by deep compassion you condemn the vedic way that ordains animal slaughter in rights of sacrifice you take form as the enlightened buddha in other words vishnu descended as the buddha in order to promote non-violence others argue that vishnu descended as a different buddha Now, when we say the Buddha, we're generally referring to Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha that Buddhists recognize as the enlightened one of this current age, aka Shakyamuni Buddha.

But most Buddhists recognize that there were other Buddhas before Shakyamuni Buddha, and some Hindus argue that Vishnu descended as one of them instead, a different earlier Buddha named Sugata Buddha.

And still others reject the idea entirely.

The Buddha was not an avatar of Vishnu in the first place, and instead they view Krishna's brother Balarama as the eighth and Krishna as the ninth in the dashavatara.

The final avatar is Kalki, an avatar yet to come, who will descend at the end of this current age, Kali Yuga.

The Vishnu Purana describes Kalki as endowed with greatness and irresistible power.

So, you know, when you look at the Buddhist world, yes, we go through ebbs and flow in the cosmic drama of what happens in life.

But this is, in the Indic tradition, defined as Kali Yuga, the age of Kali.

And the Buddhists similarly believe that this is the age where there'd be just tremendous amount of confusion.

and misery, a pervasive sense of misery that will be rooted in this kind of confusion.

Yeah, yeah.
