And, uh, what, what do you have cooking here in terms of, like, deer scouting and deploying cameras over the next, call it, 45 days?

Kaleb GreinerGUEST
I've got about 600 cameras that I still have to put up for, for guys, but I'm putting them over vine scrapes, putting them over pinch points, putting ov- over, uh, food plots, obviously.

Kaleb GreinerGUEST
Those are one of my favorite, favorite, uh, camera attractions and one of the best ways to get intel just because they will hit those vine scrapes year-round, um, spring, summer, fall, winter.

Kaleb GreinerGUEST
Um, sometimes, most of the time, I just gotta, uh, refresh in the vine scrape by getting a new vine in there and whatnot.

Like, how do you balance that where other, the other side of conventional wisdom is like, "Man, the more you hunt, the lower your odds actually go"? But is that just a completely different ballgame with an animal that is there maybe 10% of the time?

So what is your blueprint starting right now in May? And you can also tie into maybe what you know from last year too,

Kaleb GreinerGUEST
yep so all right i've already got a base i know what deer made it through already because i've been running cameras since probably a little after march so i know what deer are already out there now are those deer to my liking can i still find one that that's a little bigger if i still want to find one that's a little bigger i'm going to start branch casting my net when i say casting my net i'm trying to get more permission and um But here in May, I will start my mineral licks right now.

Kaleb GreinerGUEST
The reason I'm starting them right now versus later on, one, there's benefits to it.

Kaleb GreinerGUEST
Antler development's already growing, but those deer are gonna remember, hey, I got a mineral lick right here.

Kaleb GreinerGUEST
That way, once crops come up, your beans, soybeans, that's a cover change as well.

Kaleb GreinerGUEST
Deer are gonna start living out there, but they'll still remember, hey, that mineral lick's back here.

What about access on, like I'm picturing, I'm looking out my window right now to a ditch, right? And it's like, man, your access on an open ag field, uh, once the crops are out, how do you go about getting in there? If he's, if he's in a quarter acre section and he has some sort of a vantage point, how are you sneaking in there?

Looking, looking at all of the stuff that I hunt and all the stuff that, um, some of the guys over even this way, the best farms that I have touched or been on or hunted myself personally are big ag farms with little draws that, that go through them.

Kaleb GreinerGUEST
I think that they can just break up and they can be a little bit more isolated, a little easier out in those, um, kind of areas, but it's way easier to hunt them because the, I mean, these draws are probably anywhere from 25 yards wide to maybe maximum 80 yards wide.

Kaleb GreinerGUEST
And if you think about it, as long as you find the right spot, the right pinch point, you find, um, good access and everything, you can shoot darn near that whole draw on both sides.

Kaleb GreinerGUEST
Like the, um, my buck from this, this past year, it's just a really long east-west, um, draw, but we had six deer that were over, uh, 160 inches that were cruising that draw.
