So we will see showers and thunderstorms across most of the southwest land division, except for the far northwest.

So not places like Geraldton and Kalbarri, but pretty much everywhere else.

Winds will have eased a bit, but with that trough sitting near the west coast, we'll go into sort of a northeasterly flow, which is a bit warmer.

So back into the 20 degrees for southern districts.

Good morning, Scotty and Goss.

Yeah.

Um, you were born at Kalbarri.

You spent time-

And then as we progress into Saturday, uh, the next cold front is going to move through.

It is a, a, a weak, uh, cold front, um, but towards the end of the day, um, looking at showers, uh, possibly extending from around, uh, that, uh, far northern part, so the, the Kalbarri, um, area and a-adjacent inland parts, uh, through to, uh, Bremer Bay and sort of along, uh, the coast there towards Esperance.

Um, most of the rainfall will be around that southwest corner and sort of Perth to Albany.

We're, uh, looking at one to five, uh, millimeters, um, possibly getting ten to fifteen millimeters right in the southwest corner.

Starting in the Southwest Land Division, we do have a ridge located to our south, and therefore we have moderate south-easterly winds overhead today and partly cloudy conditions.

So for today, temperatures are spanning from about twenty-five degrees in Kalbarri to twenty-one for Carnamah and Gin Gin, and eighteen around Katanning, uh, seventeen down in Albany and Esperance.

It's pretty much rinse and repeat for tomorrow, and that's because this high-pressure system is gonna dominate our pattern for the coming days.

But it is gonna move, uh, for- further east into the Great Australian Bight, and that'll gradually turn our winds through westerly to then northwesterly by Thursday.

So by Friday, our forecasts are twenty-six for Geraldton, Makumbutin, and York.

Uh, twenty-two in Bridgetown, Katanning, and Albany.

Um, but then a cold front will cross, uh, p- southwestern parts later Friday, particularly about the southwest capes, and sweep over locations that are southwest of Kalbarri to Israelite Bay on Saturday.

Now, rainfall at this stage is rather varied between the models, um, but it's looking on the lighter side, so not exceeding ten millimeters in the southwest and probably not exceeding two to three millimeters, um, over the growing regions at this stage, Kate.

with the front expected to cross the southwest in the evening and the west coast at night.

And we'll see some gusty thunderstorms possible with that frontal crossing anywhere between Kalbarri and Mandurah.

As for rainfall from this system, for Saturday, daily totals are looking around the 5 to 10 millimetre mark, but up to 20 if you're west of Kalbarri down to Mandurah and Albany.

A bit less getting further inland in those locations.

So zero to three millimetres for the remainder of any locations that are southwest of Carnarvon to Bremer Bay.

It enables us to get to market faster once we start that whole construction process.

It reduces construction costs, which is particularly important in places like Kalbarri, which are remote, and we don't have the ability to have all the infrastructure that we would want.

And that standardization allows us to follow somewhat of a design one, build many type approach, which means we can secure those long-term supply chains, which are hard to secure because the supply chains are developing in parallel with the market.

How are you going, Jamie? The thing about the EVs is that they're good around the city, but you go down Lake Grace, where I went last year, there's no power charges down the way to Lake Grace and places like that.

Or what about up to Northampton and Kalbarri and places like that? They've got to think about the distances these vehicles have to travel.

I mean, this is part of the infrastructure question, right? And who's going to pay for it? So is it government that stumps up for it? Does someone privately find a way to make a buck out of it? That's the stuff we need to solve for it to kind of take that next step, Scott.
